An illustration showing me watching another educator and stealing his tricks

What are a few things I love about being again a student myself?

In this short article I share that being back in student mode is very relaxing, helps me steal educators tricks and obviously gets me new knowledge.

These days I'm doing a certificate in didactics to become a better educator. Which means I'm now also a student. Being back in that mode is really nice.

It's great to follow a plan

In my job in Service Design both as a facilitator and educator and as a dad my job is usually to be the one creating the plan for others. It's so nice to be on the other side and get in a well made plan of someone else and just "following" it. It's very relaxing from a responsability and mental load side.

It's great to steal tricks

I love to see how others teach. In fact I have a separate notebook where I collect tricks that I want to steal. This can be how an educator makes people know each other, or how they create the rythm of their course.

The obvious: learn new stuff

Obviously following a course also teaches you stuff.
