Context: I rediscovered the power of writing by hand
In a previous article I have shared why I like to write by hand on my remarkable tablet. In short:
It's a slower and leaves me less with a feeling of "go, go, go" once I"m done
It pushes me to illustrate way more what I have in my head because writing by hand is so slow
Still after now a few weeks of owning this tablet and trying to use it as my main tool to think, plan and write, I've found two key moments when I like to use the keyboard attached to the Remarkable tablet.
In a train: because it moves too much
I spend a lot of time in trains. Some trains bump quiet a bit. This means that it gets very quicklz frustrating to write by hand or draw because when there are big bumps it makes you do lots of mistakes.
When it's just about the text
Not every text I write benefits from a slower writing mode or from a push towards illustrating. Turning a few notes into a full written feedback for example, especially when I have to do it for dozens of learners, is something where I just want to be able to type fast.
Backstage of this article
This article was written on my refurbished Remarkable II using a keyboard folio case, because yes I was in a bumpy train when I wanted to write this.
