In short: Most of the time. In fact, Design Sprints are overkill for simpler challenges. Design Sprints for me are the exception. Still, they are great for complex, high-risk projects with many stakeholders.
In short: I setup two 2-day design sprints with a 1-3 month testing time in between. This format works better for Service Design projects, big organizations and projects with many stakeholders.
In short: A Design Sprint can be as cheap as 300 $ or CHF if you do everything internally or as expensive as 22'1000 $ or CHF if you do it in a retreat-like location with everything paid for the participants and with an external facilitator.
