Three things I learned from a webinar by a briliant dancer.
I'm not a dancer but I learned a few tricks from a dancer for my workshop facilitation
Give more freedom:
Let people choose how they participate, by being fully present actors, by being observators or even by just leaving the room.
Let people think with the body first:
The body is another tool that can be used to generate ideas. Just as drawing and legos help people to not just think with "the brain" but their hands, movements can help people think differently. It doesn't have to be long.
Safe spaces are fragile:
How much we record, capture during a workshop can break the safe space. Not taking photos of people working during the workshop can make them feel safer.
These are just a few tricks that I learned from the webinar on Choreographic Thinking for Service Design with Katrin Kolo that I can implement right away in my workshops.
But there was much more depth in this webinar. And I'm quite interested to one day really try a full choreographic thinking session in one workshop.
Thanks a lot Katrin Kolo for making this event happen š
