Write for Touchpoint the Service Design Journal

The team behind Touchpoint is look for people who have something inspiring to share around the topic of "Emerging Service Design"

They are looking for articles that do one or more of the following:

Challenge assumptions that our field takes for granted
Document experiments (successful or not) that point to new directions
Offer grounded perspectives on how the discipline is actually changing (not just how we wish it would)

This is a chance for you to help inspire the Service Design community around the world.

Facilitation Deep Dive", en français in Lyon

Bertrand Cochet is a very good friend from the French Service Design community. He has both a very humanistic and spiritual approach to design that I deeply appreciate.

With the team at This is Service Design Doing, he is organizing from June 10th to June 12th a facilitation deep dive, all in French.

The main facilitators of this training will be Adam Lawrence and Renatus Hoogenraad. I don't know Renatus, but I've had add a few "internet friend" like interaction with Adam and I can say that he is really the definition of "lovely human".

So I can highly recommend this course, not only because of the content, but mainly because of the people that make it happen!

I don't get any kickback if you register, just give a hug to Betrand and Adam from me when you'll see them :)

I'm slowly building a library of answers to the most common questions about Service Design. Here are the new ones:

What are the advantages of sketching before doing big computer tasks?

In short: In Service Design we often have to move from front stage to backstage and back, from the ecosystem to the details of the touchpoint and back. The fact that we never settle for long in one mode, that this is a dance, and always have to think about what are the repercussions for the other side can make it at times awkward. But knowing it in advance makes it easier to do it.
