How can I include nature in my Service Blueprint?

How can I include nature in my Service Blueprint?

A Service Blueprint shows different perspectives in one big map. There are usual perspectives that most blueprints have, like the frontstage and the backstage.

But many service designers customise their blueprints for each project, sometimes adding ideas, tools, data points, etc. in them.

We could do the same for sustainability elements.

Add the natural lane or natural stage in your blueprint

What if we had the "natural stage"?

Imagine the planet, fauna, flora, or ecosystem could be an additional lane in your service blueprint.

Add a nature block in your blueprint

This could also work well with the blueprinting approach taught by Erika Flowers and Megan Miller from Practical by Design.

What if you had as a block "nature"?

The inspiration

Ben Reason shared on Linkedin a link to an event about Service Blueprinting called "How to weave in the "planet". The image of the event showed a blueprint with a lane for the planet, and I found that particularly inspiring.
