To calculate how many people you need to ask to get the right number of responses for your survey, I use data I found through an article published on Hubspot that references an article from SurveyAnyplace.

A rule of thumbs approach

This calculator, as any other calculator I have created is built around the idea of "rules of thumb". I don't consider these calculators as exact measures but rather as simple ways to quickly get a good enough guess that will help you know if you need to work more or if you are already doing a pretty awesome job.
