What it is

A landing page test involves creating a one-page website explaining your service or idea.

You can then test it in two ways:

  1. Test it with ads and a call to action: by using digital ads (like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.), you bring people onto the website and then offer them something in exchange for their email (a coupon for when the service will be launched, a preview of the service, a guide, etc.). You then measure the percentage of people that showed interest (conversion rate) compared to the standard (conversion benchmark)

  2. Test it with the competitor's website: in interviews, show your website and the website of two other competitors and ask people to compare the different services based on their websites. It's one of my favourite super cheap ways to test out an idea.
