Saturation
What is it?
Saturation is when you won’t get new information or learnings from additional research. It means that you’ve reached a point where you feel confident that you have a comprehensive understanding of the user's experiences and needs.
How can I apply this?
Don't recruit all research participants from the start but do it in multiple blocks
Always ask yourself: am I still learning something new?

Jakob Nielsen wrote an article called "Why You Only Need to Test with 5 Users" that shows that you can reach a good level of saturation already with 5 interviews regarding usability questions.
