How long does it take to create a working app with Replit?

In short: In about a half day of work (4-6 hours) you can create an app that is usable by others with a few lovely features (sign in, sign out, folders, settings, different views of the same data, etc.)

My Workshop Planner App made with Replit

I created a workshop planner app in Replit.

The goal of this workshop planner app is to have a place where I can create a plan for my workshop minute by minute and then click on a present button and then have the app transform that plan into a minimal full-screen presentation that also has a visual countdown in it for the exercises.

Development Time & Features

To create this app, or at least the first working version of it, that has been deployed, it took me about between 4-6 hours. And maybe even a little bit less because I had to put my son to bed and stuff like that in the middle of the process.

So, definitely, it doesn't take a few minutes, but in half a day, one day of work, you can already have something that you can really use.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But it has enough features. For example, it has authentication folders, the possibility to add the possibility to add my own brand and colors, and so many more other things.

An example of what you can build in half a day

You can see all of that in the little demo video that you can see below to get a bit of an idea of what you can build within six hours.

Six hours without prior knowledge

This was all made in the six first hours of me using Riplet. So, I had no real prior knowledge of how Riplet works, especially no prior knowledge about the authentication bits, but it was very easy to use.

But I still had some experience using a competing app, which is called Lovable and I was quite clear on what I wanted to build.
