Tell me Sónia, what the fuck is Service Design?
In 2016, I met a person who started to talk with me about service design. Having never heard of it before, the initial 5 minutes of the conversation from my end merely comprised questions such as “What the fuck is service design?”, “What the hell is he talking about?”. Couple hours later, I decided to create a new business division in service design. It all made sense to me. My experience was purely with technology, creating products with software development . . . but, service design started to make complete sense for me as a complementary process to design apps and new technology or improve the employer and customer experience. Service design is a complementary process in the early stages of building a service that “really” fits the real needs of employers and/or customers, substantially enhancing their experience and transforming your brand from one they “like” to one they “love”. This makes all the difference in the world of business. Nowadays, not being customer-centric or employer-centric is the biggest threat to any business.
