Where Can AI Be Useful Within a Design Sprint?

In short: AI can be pretty helpful for creating prototypes during a design sprint but sucks as an additional Design Sprint participant

AI for making storyboards for prototypes

In the past, I've used AI tools to generate both images and texts for prototypes that I've built during a Design Sprint. These tools are especially handy for new concepts or elements that differ from the usual company work. An AI image generator can easily produce a drawing of your idea, even if you can't draw well, which is pretty nice when you're working with non-designers.

I even created a custom GPT to make storyboard-like images from short descriptions.

AI for making the texts of a Landing Page used in a test

AI tools also are pretty good for making a first draft of a text, like landing page.

Not a great participant

I once used ChatGPT as an additional team member for an idea generation workshop but it sucked. Maybe in the future I'll retry it but for now I've not been convinced that it would make a great Design Sprint additional participant.
