The story behind "Why workshops work"

This weekend I took the time to write a new course called "Why do workshops work". Here is the story that motivated me to write it.

It started with a nice conversation

I was meeting a potential client. We spoke a lot about workshops and they seemed pretty interested to run one for their next project. At the end of this nice conversation, one of the team members said: "I'm really convinced now that a workshop is the way to go. But I'm not sure I could articulate so well all the arguments in favor as this is still pretty new to me"

... but I failed

This inspired me. We had such a great conversation. I think really helped them but I failed as a coach. I didn't give them something written they could take with them to convince their other colleagues.

An open solution

This course is my way to try to fix this situation. And as I'm doing for this potential client I thought: "Why not make it accessible to anyone for free?

I hope this little course will help anybody interested in workshops to understand their power and then be able to share these arguments with his colleagues.

How long did it take?

Those who follow my little adventures since the start know that I love to document how long it takes to build such content. This time to create a 35-minutes to read course it took me a bit more than 6 hours.

The course

So what is this new course about? It answers the big question: "Why do workshops work". In more details it will help you to understand:
  1. what the problems 🤕 of today's collaboration formats are;
  2. why and when workshops are a great collaboration tool ⚡️;
  3. what's the impact of workshops 🚀;
  4. resources to get you started if you are already convinced 🛠.
The course is still in beta. This means I haven't done real proofreading and many parts might still be a bit unclear. But at least you can check it out for free here today
