So Juha, what the fuck is Service Design?

Service design is a product development process for services. And certainly an innovation of the service business as well.

Service design is a mindset and a systematic way of approaching service development and innovation at the same time in an analytic and intuitive way. The analytic approach accounts for all information based on logic deduction, facts, human insight and data. Intuitive approach entails skills and experimentation to see what future could hold – something that is non-existent till now.

The core of service design is to understand, identify and deliver value for both people (customers and employers) and businesses. Service design creates tangible services from the intangible and allows the development of these services. A globally growing service economy is a powerful booster of service design.
