Hi there 👋

This week I want to share with you:

  • An inspiration about the power of service from an unexpected person.

  • 4 answers to Service Design questions (one about recessions and one about workshop reports)

  • a heads-up about a webinar where I'll interview the lovely Marc Fonteijn

  • a question about the name of my next project

Greetings from Switzlerland,

Daniele 🧔🏻

The unexpected Service Design expert

"Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.

You don’t have to have a college degree to serve.

You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve….

You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love."

— Martin Luther King

I have nothing more to say.

New Service Design Questions

I'm slowly building a library of answers to the most common questions about Service Design. Here are the new ones:

  1. What are great quotes to inspire service design work?

  2. What are the archetypes of service designers?

  3. What tool can I use for people to fill out their own journey map

  4. What's the perfect meal and food for a workshop?

Next webinar I'm hosting with Marc Fonteijn

In early August, I'll interview Marc Fonteijn about "The Future of In-House Service Design". It's a free one-hour webinar organised with the Swiss Service Design Network.

What should I call my next project?

I'm not a naming expert, so I could definitely use your help.

How should I name this upcoming project?

I'm creating a centralised knowledge base around Service Design with all my content in an easily searchable format (principles, Q&A, courses, books, processes, etc) with the addition of a ChatGPT-like bot that can answer questions based on my content.

You can see the prototype of that knowledge base here.
