An illustration showing the 30 second process I do at the end of writing - creating a new page - add a title with a question of the next thing I want to write

How do I make it easy to start writing the next article?

In this tiny article I share my end of writing workflow (creating a new article with a question to answer) that helps me start writing the next time I open my writing device.

Published in the Backstage Blog

When I finish writing a blog article or a service Design Q&A I often take a few extra seconds to write a title for a next article. So the next time I open my Q&A notebook on my Remarkable I'm greeted by a page that says "hey it's easy, just write about this".

Most of the time the title is the only thing I leave because it's already enough for me. Usually the title is a question, so I just have to answer the question.

But from time to time I leave 2- 3 short bullet points when there are ways of answering the title that I 'm afraid I'll forget.

This is a writing trick that some call a Hemingway bridge. Where you leave a note for your future self to help him write.

It's that easy. When you finished writing. Write the title of the next thing you'll write.

This article was written and illustrated on a refurbished Remarkable II tablet. The handwriting was then converted into typed text using the connect service of Remarkable. If you are curious you can download the original note below.
