The first member of the family I want you to meet is Design Thinking.
Design Thinking is a movement that began a long time ago. Thus, I love to call it the grandpa of Service Design. Early papers about this field or idea showed up in the sixties.
The idea behind design thinking is to describe how designers and other creative minds are able to find and create such wonderful ideas, innovative products, or wonderful houses.
Academics and smart people studied what these architects, product designers, and creatives use as a process. Design Thinking is the description of this creative process that leads to innovation.
The idea is that people outside of the design world, especially business people, can use the same methods and thinking to procure innovative solutions to their problems.
