What are some stores where every last detail is designed for customers?
My two cents
Here three stores which have worked on many details of the customer experience:
IKEA: the store is an experience for the whole family. There is a “kindergarten” where kids can play when parents do their shopping. The cheap hot-dogs serve as a cheap gift parents can give to the kids after the shopping session and therefore they don’t have to cook at home.
Apple Stores: here the design of the stores is particularly carefully thought out. You can try out the products and are not overwhelmed by all the products that are displayed. Only the most important products are shown.
Amazon Go: enter in the shop, grab what you need and go out. You don’t have to wait at the cashier everything is automated (see video below)
