Service Design in Switzerland
Service Design in Switzerland
I wouldn’t say there is “one best school” for service design, but there are a few ones that are doing some great things.
HSLU in Switzerland
I have personally studied Service Design at the HSLU
in Luzern, Switzerland. What I liked about it is that the program was multidisciplinary. Which means that even if you specialized in Service Design, you still were in touch with many other fields.
Royal College of Arts
The Royal College of arts in London
is a pretty well-known Service Design program. I haven’t studied there, but a few colleagues have and seem to be pretty happy with what they learned there.
Do you need a school?
There are a lot of great resources out there to learn Service Design on your own.
To me, going to a school to learn service design is more about the time commitment than the actual school. By joining a program you decide that you will practice and learn this new set of skills for two years full time!
In a way, joining a program forces you to learn. Which is a pretty great thing.
